PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) Installation (Native OS-windows)

The PeopleSoft Deployment Packages are a new method for installing and deploying PeopleSoft servers. DPKs are built on Puppet, open-source server automation software that lets you quickly build servers.

Prerequisite:

RAM: 8GB

Hard Disk: 150GB

Step 1: Download the software form oracle e-delivery and place the zip files in the server.

Step 2: Create a DPK_INSTALL folder and copy all the Zip files and extract the first one. Post completion of unzip you will find a setup.bat file in setup directory.

Step 3: Create a base folder like HCM92PUM32 for PeopleSoft Deployment Package Installation. Open the command prompt in windows with administrator privilege and go to the software location and execute the setup .bat file to start the Installation.

Step 4: It will ask for puppet installation and please go for the puppet Installation as stated below.

Step 5: Security: The Installation wizard will ask for the passwords for the said environment, Like PS, system, web logic, people and Integration broker.

Step 6: It will ask for the default Installation (N/Y) as stated in below image. 

Default: It will install all the default values as delivered by PeopleSoft.

Custom: You have to create a customizations.yaml file and make the necessary changes as per your business requirement and install the PeopleSoft. For example if you have to change the Application server domain name, then you have to copy the entire section of app server from configuration.yaml file and create the customization.yaml file.
